And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. (Mark 1:12)
You must love Mark’s style. He doesn’t let any grass grow under foot while telling his story of Jesus. He uses one verse to tell about the temptation of Christ while the other gospels go to great detail. It’s not that the temptation of Christ isn’t important, after all Mark doesn’t even give us an account of the birth or Jesus; but Mark wants to get to the meat of Jesus’ life and teachings. He is not much of a story teller. He is more of a “the facts just the facts” sort of guy. Something you may wish to keep in mind when telling others about Christ.
