Teamwork?

I found myself folding towels this morning when it hit me. There is a lot of teamwork in our marriage. I’m sure that my wife would say there is not enough; and she would probably be right. Nonetheless, over the years, we have learned the benefit of working as a team.

There is much power to be found in working together; a bit of wisdom that many within the local church need to learn. Far too often the pastor, deacon, or church member embraces the false belief that all the work depends on them. Someone has said, “A team with a star player is a good team, but a team without one is a great team.” Henry Ford made this comment concerning teamwork, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”

Just as couples learn to work together, families learn to work together, and businesses learn to work together, the local church needs to work together. Follow Pastor Jim Follow @pastorbarr

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
