A friend of mine shared this story with me about a new car he purchased. Like most late model cars, his new automobile would signal you when the fuel level was low, which is a modern convenience that many of us have found helpful. On this particular day, my friend was traveling with a friend and was busy exchanging old stories and chose to disregard the signals from his new car. You can guess the rest of the story. Miles from nowhere with a rain storm approaching the car ran out of gas.
